Privacy Policy
The short version
REFFREY collects the minimum needed to sell you a license, let the app check that license, and help you if something goes wrong. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and the audio you analyze never leaves your computer.
What we collect
- When you buy: your email address and a record of the purchase (order and payment identifiers). Payment details themselves are handled by Stripe and Link, who act as the seller; we never see your card number.
- When the app activates a key: a hashed identifier for your computer, its name (as shown in your system settings), operating system, app version, and the DAW the plugin is connected to. This enforces the machine limit and lets you manage your machines from the app.
- When you use the support page: the email address and key you enter, so we can find your license.
- When you search for reference tracks: your search text is forwarded to Deezer to fetch results and 30-second previews. We don't store it.
- Website visits: anonymous, aggregate page analytics with no cookies and no cross-site tracking.
What we don't collect
Your audio, projects, or reference tracks. All analysis runs locally in the app. We have no account system, so there are no passwords to store.
Who we share it with
- Stripe and Link process payments and are the merchant of record. Their privacy policies apply to the checkout.
- Supabase hosts our license database.
- Resend delivers our emails, such as your key.
- Vercel hosts this website.
- Deezer provides track search and previews.
We don't share your information with anyone else, and we never sell it.
How long we keep it
License records are kept for as long as the key exists, so you can recover it and manage your machines. You can remove a machine from a key in the app at any time. If you'd like your license record deleted entirely, email us and we'll do it, which also deactivates the key.
Your choices
You can request a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing jeff@reffrey.com.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
